Harmonett Storms Home at Sandown — Dakotah Keane Steers to Win

In a thrilling performance at Sandown Hillside on Wednesday, Harmonett delivered a strong win in the Brad Masters Plumbing Handicap (Benchmark 62, 1000m), with apprentice jockey Dakotah Keane aboard. The five-year-old mare crossed the line ahead of Talladega Girl and Zoubelle, securing a decisive victory on a Good (4) track.

Under the watchful guidance of Ms Dakotah Keane, Harmonett showed a great turn of foot hitting the front and holding off late challengers to claim the $35,000 prize. The win came by about one length over runner-up Talladega Girl ($3F), with Zoubelle finishing another 1.1 lengths back in third.

The performance continued a promising campaign for the mare trained by Vincent Hall, marking a strong return to the races for a horse that had shown good form toward the end of her last preparation. Keane’s tactical ride — navigating the early pace and timing the finishing surge — was widely praised by Hall, who said she followed instructions to the letter.

Harmonett’s win at Sandown adds to her great record since joining the Hall Stable as she builds toward what could be an even more successful season.
